About South Wilmington Street Center
South Wilmington Street Center is a County-operated emergency and transitional shelter for homeless men that has been serving the community since 2001. The facility provides both short-term emergency overnight dorms and longer-term shelter with comprehensive support services including case management, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and financial counseling. The center's mission is to provide safe shelter while helping residents develop realistic plans for self-sufficiency, employment, and independent housing.
