About Nursing Home Ombudsman
The Connecticut Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is a state-run advocacy organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabilities residing in skilled nursing facilities, residential care homes, and assisted living communities throughout Connecticut. Led by State Ombudsman Mairead Painter, the program advocates for the rights of over 30,000 residents and provides comprehensive resources including complaint filing, resident rights education, and guidance on choosing quality long-term care facilities.
