About Idaho State Independent Living

The Idaho State Independent Living Council (SILC) is a government-appointed body dedicated to promoting the Independent Living philosophy for Idahoans with disabilities across the lifespan. They do not provide direct residential care but instead focus on systemic advocacy, public outreach, and the development of the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL). The council collaborates with Centers for Independent Living and public agencies to break down barriers to inclusion and integration.
