St. Francis Square Cooperative is a democratically member-elected, owner-occupied residential community located in San Francisco's Western Addition/Japantown neighborhood. Established in 1963 and sponsored by the ILWU, the complex features 299 apartments across 12 three-story walk-up buildings designed by renowned architects, oriented around shared landscaped courtyards. The community offers affordable home ownership and is managed by a full-time staff and resident Board of Directors.
