About Hospice of Southern Maine
Hospice of Southern Maine is the largest independent, nonprofit hospice provider in southern Maine, offering compassionate end-of-life care focused on pain and symptom management, emotional support, and family care planning. The organization provides comprehensive hospice services including home-based care, inpatient care at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House (the only dedicated hospice house in southern Maine), and the Caring Comfort Program for individuals with serious illnesses not yet ready for hospice. Led by board-certified specialists including Medical Director Dr. Fernando Moreno, MD, HPM, Hospice of Southern Maine is distinguished by its award-winning care, complimentary volunteer and pet therapy services, and commitment to preserving meaningful care while recently joining Andwell Health Partners to expand services across Maine.
