Children's of Alabama Emergency Department is the only Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in Alabama serving over 72,000 patients annually with 24-hour emergency care for children with illness or injury. As part of a nationally ranked pediatric health system, the ED provides specialized emergency care and trauma services to patients throughout the Southeast and across the United States. The facility is recognized for excellence by the Emergency Nursing Association and features advanced equipment, behavioral health services, and critical care transport capabilities.
